Our Austin studio is home to the largest LED volume in Central Texas and gives productions an affordable, fully supported option for shooting in-camera visual effects. But our work is not limited to our own stage.
Stray Vista has supported large-scale virtual productions around the country, including temporary stage builds, partner stages, and custom LED volume deployments for television, feature films, commercials, and branded content.
We provide both facility rental and complete virtual production services. Productions can bring Stray Vista in to manage the entire virtual production workflow, or hire our team independently to consult, supervise, build environments, and operate alongside another studio or stage provider.

We work directly with directors, cinematographers, producers, production designers, and crews from early development through post-production. Results Before Technology
The virtual production industry can become overly focused on hardware and technical complexity. Bigger systems and more technology do not automatically create better images.
Our approach starts with the shot.
We determine what the director and DP are trying to accomplish, then choose the simplest and most effective technical solution capable of delivering that result.
If a lighter solution produces the same image, that is usually the better solution.
We Build the Environments
Our Virtual Art Department works directly with the production team to develop Unreal Engine environments around the creative and technical requirements of the project.
Because the environment team is integrated with the people producing and operating the shoot, creative decisions, technical limitations, camera movement, lighting, and stage requirements can be addressed together instead of being handed between disconnected vendors.
We Help Determine Whether VP Is the Right Tool
Virtual production is powerful, but it is not always the right solution.
Sometimes the best approach is LED. Sometimes it is a practical location, a physical set, green screen, traditional VFX, or a hybrid of several techniques.
Our team breaks down scripts, boards, references, and shot lists to determine where virtual production creates real creative or financial value and where another approach may be better.
That experience also allows us to recognize common failure points early and adapt when conditions change during production.
We Can Bring the Stage to You
Our flagship volume is located in Austin, Texas, but Stray Vista operates nationally.
If a production cannot come to our studio, we can work with our technology partners to deploy a temporary LED volume inside an appropriate soundstage or move the production into one of our partner facilities.
Stray Vista has built temporary virtual production stages for television productions and deployed large-scale volumes for feature films in a matter of days.
Our team can remain responsible for the project throughout the process, including planning, VAD, technical deployment, supervision, operation, and production support.
